Acccordionist Luciano Biondini and sitar player Klaus Falschlunger are among those musicians who are always looking for a meeting point of different musical traditions and styles. On their first album “Once In A Blue Moon” the two artists are exploring the possibilities to shift the boundaries and find a mix between Indian music, jazz, pop and folk – music filled with poetry, energy and fine humour.

Luciano Biondini started a classical training at a young age and was declared world champion on the instrument. He started studying the accordion seriously at age 10 and has been awarded many prizes for classical accordion, e.g. Trophée Mondial de l’Accordéon and Premio Internazionale di Castelfidardo. Since his turning to jazz in 1994 Biondini has played with the likes of Rabih Abou-Khalil, Dave Bargeron, Michel Godard, Battista Lena, Gabriele Mirabassi, Enrico Rava, Tony Scott and many others. A true master of his instrument and a soloist with an overwhelming dramaticism, he always adds something beautiful and original to any context he works. CDs released on ACT Label & Intakt Records

Klaus Falschlunger, studied from 1991 to 1995 Indian classical music and sitar in New Delhi and Varanasi in Northern India. .Growing up with jazz and rock music, he discovered in his extensive travels to Asia, the Middle East and Europe, more and more the diversity of music. Next to his love for Indian classical music, he composed and experimented with different formations. His creativity and versatility brought him together with many musicians and artists from India, Korea, USA and Europe e.g. Bob Mintzer, Kim Dok Suu and many others. CDs released on ATS-Records
